The most common word people use to describe Jeanine is authentic. What you see is what you get with her and she has a natural ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable. She’s one of those people that really listens and empathizes with where you’re coming from. By taking the time to get to know you, she can help you achieve your goals more effectively.
Over the course of her career in real estate, Jeanine has consistently broken down the stereotype of the “pushy, sales-y REALTOR®” by prioritizing people over profit. She’s even told several people that it wasn’t the right time to buy or sell because she cares way more about the relationship and doing what’s right for the client than a commission cheque.
She prioritizes education and setting expectations in her business, so her clients always feel safe and aware of what’s going on. She looks at the relationship as a partnership, so clients never feel like they’re just being pulled along for the ride. She’s definitely someone you want in your corner when buying or selling a home.
Jeanine has called Edmonton home most of her life. She lives with her husband, Kris, and their dog, Phoebe. Outside of working, Jeanine spends her time with friends and family, volunteering, and it’s not unheard of to catch her binge-watching some Netflix on her days off.
My husband and I travelled to Thailand in April 2014 – I’d have to say that was my favourite vacation. We happened to go during their New Year; they celebrate over 5 days by having a country-wide, giant water fight. It was incredible. Everywhere we went, people were standing on the sidewalks with buckets of water to dump on you (and they didn’t hold back, let me assure you). We spent most of our vacation on an island called Koh Chang, filled with jungle tours, reading on the beach, and amazing food. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
FAVE SWEET TREAT:
Umm…all of the above. It really depends on the day and my mood, but I love ALL desserts. If i had to pick favourites, I’d say plain baked cheesecake, Aero bars, 10 cent (germ-infested) sugar candy from 7-11, strawberry and hot fudge sundaes from DQ, and honey dip timbits. Is anyone else hungry now??
White wine is usually my go-to when I go out to eat. While on a tropical vacation – pina coladas all the way. But just day-to-day, water with lemon. Favourite coffees are plain lattes, coffee with cream no sugar, or Tim Horton’s 1/2 French Vanilla 1/2 coffee.
DOGS DOGS DOGS. If we’re Facebook friends, I apologize for the excess of dog videos. I can’t help it…they’re just so friggin’ cute! I have two dogs: a boston terrier named Phoebe and a rottweiller named Reena. On a side note, I’m actually quite scared of a lot of other animals: fish, birds, and rodents freak me out!
Purple, followed by green as a close runner-up.
I like my Jeep Grand Cherokee, but to be honest, cars are not really my thing.
I went to a small venue on the west end once for Matthew Barber and Amy Seeley – that was probably my favourite. It was small and intimate, which I loved. With that said, I went to the Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block a few years back with a friend and we had a blast. It was just like being back in the 90s! And I’m not ashamed to admit that I still knew almost every lyric, haha.
Ellen DeGeneres. She’s so great! My favorite singer is definitely Adele. Her voice just takes my breath away! When her single “Hello” came out, I was singing along to it in my car and thought, “Wow…I sound JUST like her!!” I came home and decided to record myself to confirm that I was about to be famous. About 10 seconds into the chorus, my rottweiller Reena started howling…I guess my talents are best left to real estate ?
FAVE ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK:
If I’m energetic, I love catching up with friends, going swimming, catching a local event, going dancing, or going for a walk. If I need a bit of down time, I love just curling up on the couch with my hubby and dogs and watching some TV or reading a book.
