“Brander Gardens is a lovely residential neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, and is located adjacent to the river valley, with Fort Edmonton Park to the north. The neighbourhood is bounded on the east by Whitemud Drive and on the south by 51st Avenue. Brander Gardens belongs to the Riverbend Community League and is in ward pihêsiwin. Several well-placed pathways promote pedestrian and bicycle travel through the neighbourhood and provide easy access to the river valley trail system. Brander Gardens contains a wide variety of housing types with the most common type of residence being a mix of rented apartments and apartment style condos in low-rise buildings (approximately one-third).  Single Family dwellings make up another 30%” Lori Crozier, Associate/REALTOR®, Schmidt Realty Group Inc.

 

There were 44 homes sold between Mar 1, 2021 and Feb 28, 2022 in the Brander Gardens area, ranging from a low of $76,000 for an 800 sq ft lowrise apartment condo to a high of $5,000,000 for an 8,000 sq ft estate home. The median selling price for homes in the Brander Gardens area during the same time period was $330,000 which represents a 1,200 sq ft 2 storey townhouse.
