Neighborhood Profile: Empire Park

Empire Park is a well-located neighbourhood in south Edmonton that’s all about convenience and easy living. It’s got a mix of apartments, townhouses, and some detached homes, so you get a pretty diverse crowd. One of the biggest perks is being right by Southgate Centre—super handy for shopping and amenities. Plus, with major roads like Calgary Trail and nearby access to the Edmonton LRT, it’s easy to get around the city. Overall, it’s a practical spot that works well for people who want everything close by without being right in the middle of downtown.

There were 18 properties sold between Apr 1, 2025 and Mar 31, 2026 in the Empire Park neighborhood, ranging from $154,500 for a 600 sq ft, one bedroom, lowrise apartment unit, to $473,500 for a 1,200 sq ft 1960s bungalow. The median selling price for a home in Larkspur during the same time period was $242,000, which represents a 1,000 sq ft 2 bedroom lowrise apartment unit.
