“Located in central northeast Edmonton, Evansdale is perfectly situated close to major roadways making this a desirable location for people who like quick and easy access to other parts of the city. This neighbourhood was established in 1971 and has over 2100 dwellings housing over 5600 people.  The majority of the homes are single family detached followed by low rise apartments, townhouses and duplexes giving people a variety of housing options.  Housing in Evansdale is very affordable in this mature neighborhood and many families love living here. Evansdale has many green spaces and excellent schools in the area making this neighbourhood a highly sought after area and the neighbourhood was named in honour of H.M. Evans, Mayor of Edmonton in 1918. The community also has a league and an outdoor ice rink which community members enjoy. There were 58 properties sold between Jan 1, 2024 and Dec 31, 2024 in the Evansdale neighborhood, ranging from $98,000 for a 467 sq ft bi-level townhouse, to $525,000 for a 1,154 sq ft, renovated bungalow. The median selling price for a home in Brintnell during the same time period was $364,000, which represents a 1,000 sq ft bungalow.
