Neighborhood Profile: Grandview Heights

“Grandview Heights is a beautiful residential neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, in the papastew ward, bounded on the north by the North Saskatchewan River valley, on the west by the Whitemud Creek Ravine and on the south and east by the University of Alberta farm. Grandview Heights was primarily developed in the 1960s and the vast majority of dwellings are single-family homes, on larger than average lots, with a mix of newer infills and original homes. Grandview Heights is currently undergoing neighbourhood renewal with streetlights, curbs, gutters and sidewalks being replaced, and landscaping being rejuvenated through the laying of sod and planting of trees.  The renewal process also includes road rehabilitation and asphalt paving as well as park and public space enhancement. There were 16 homes sold between Oct 1, 2020 and Sep 30 2021 in Grandview Heights, ranging from a low of $425,000 for a vacant lot to a high of $1,925,000 for a 4,000 sq ft 3 storey single family home built in 2008. The median selling price for homes in Grandview Heights during the same time period was $860,000 which represents a 2,000 sq ft 2 Storey built in 2018.
