“Secord, a vibrant and growing west Edmonton community, is located in the Lewis Farms area and is home to more than 3500 (2016) people. The demographics in Secord tend to be younger; the majority of working adults are between 25-54 years of age with a great number of them having children under 14 years old.  There are a variety of home styles built in the neighborhood including detached single family dwellings, duplexes, townhomes and apartments – there’s a home for every lifestyle and income level. Secord has 3 large, constructed ponds with walking trails, 3 neighborhood playgrounds, an outdoor skating rink and a preserved 4.4 hectare wetland and 3.0 hectare of tree stand giving a nice balance of homes and green spaces. The community also has 2 schools in the area: K-9 and grades 7-9. There are a lot of amenities within a short driving distance such as golf courses, swimming and leisure centers, shopping and restaurants. There were 79 properties sold between Aug 1, 2024 and Jul 31, 2025 in the Secord neighborhood, ranging from $145,000 for a 431 sq ft studio condo unit, to $769,900 for a 2,000 sq ft 2 storey home with a legal basement suite. The median selling price for a home in the neighborhood during the same time period was $500,000, which represents a 1,500 sq ft 2 storey home.
