Neighborhood Profile: Woodcroft

A quiet, unassuming neighbourhood in north west Edmonton, Woodcroft is defined as the area between 118 Avenue to north, 111 Avenue to the south, 142 Street to the west, and Groat Road to the east. For the most part, Woodcroft is a primarily a residential neighborhood, although there is some light industrial development also scattered throughout the area.

Woodcroft contains Westmount Shopping Centre, a shopping centre built in 1955 which was the first of its kind built in Edmonton. On the west side of the neighbourhood lies Coronation Park, one of Edmonton’s most beautiful parks (featuring outdoor lawn bowling). Woodcroft also houses the extremely popular Edmonton Space and Sciences Centre. Other facilities in the community include an indoor ice arena and swimming pool, library, community league, and elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.

There were 22 properties sold between Mar 1, 2023 and Feb 29, 2024 in the Woodcroft area, ranging from $120,000 for a 660 sq ft apartment style condo unit, to $436,000 for a 1,050 sq ft, upgraded bungalow. The median selling price for homes in the Woodcroft area during the same time period was $360,000 which represents a 1,000 sq ft raised bungalow.
