Edmonton single family prices are down 8.3%…or are they?
While the average selling price for a single family home in Edmonton has decreased 8.3% compared to last January, the benchmark single family price has decreased just 2.6%. So what’s the difference? The average is simply a calculation of the total value of all sales divided by the number of homes sold. It tells us what people are spending on property, but it doesn’t tell us what they’re getting in terms of value for their dollar…
