There are many markets in the Edmonton area… The latest statistics released by the Realtor Association of Edmonton reports that the number of residential properties sold is up 1.89% this August compared to August of last year. But when you look closer, that average is made up of a 6.15% increase in single family sales, a 14.67% decrease in duplex/rowhouse sales and almost no change in condo sales. Similarly, average price decreased 2.3% for all residential sales comparing Aug/18 to Aug/17. But this statistic combines a decrease of 3.23% for single family, a 6.9% decrease for duplex/rowhouse and almost no change in condo sales prices. And within each of these markets are many sub-markets depending on price range, neighbourhood, and location within the neighbourhood.
