Nestled between the North Saskatchewan river valley and Lessard road, Donsdale is a recent, exclusive development. The properties of Donsdale (as referred to by the developer) consists of Single Family homes and estate properties. Some lots are over a million dollars in asking price. Most of the homes tend to be two stories but there are also a considerable number of bungalows in this affluent area.

Because of its size there are no parks or amenities as such, but its perch at the top of the river valley gives it tremendous accessibility to the river valley trail system. In addition, the links through Wolf Willow and Westridge provide alternative access to ravines, parks, playgrounds, and schools. There are fountains at the entrance to the subdivision. There is also a natural wet land that has been preserved which adds a striking point of interest.

There were 12 homes sold between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 in Donsdale, ranging from a low of $565,000 for a 1,500 sq ft executive bungalow to a high of $890,000 for a custom built 3,300 sq ft 2-storey with triple car garage. The median sold price for homes in Donsdale during the same time period was $715,000 which represents a 2,400 sq ft 2-storey with finished basement.
